DESCRIPTION
BlackCat Superyachts have announced the latest addition to their portfolio of luxury catamarans. This 36m design is the second from the groundbreaking BlackCat range and continues in the same distinctive lines and styling created by the Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design studio.
The 36m BlackCat, built completely from carbon fibre, will perform exceptionally well under sail and will be extremely fuel efficient when under power. She has a beam of 14m providing a huge internal volume and a deck space that is substantially larger than a monohull of equivalent length.
The BlackCat 36 provides accommodation for up to eight guests in six cabins, as well as four crew. The main deck saloon is on a single level and is spacious enough to cater for large dinner parties and entertainment. Capable of cruising at 20 knots and a maximum speed of 32 knots, with a low heel angle and a stable platform, the BlackCat 36 is an attractive alternative for any owner considering a 40-45m monohull. Each design can be customised down to the smallest detail, to suit a client's wishes.
The cost analysis of the BlackCat 36 indicates the metre-to-metre cost comes in below that of a carbon fibre monohull of the same volume.
