DESCRIPTION
Launched in 2016, Missy was commissioned by an experienced owner looking for excellent sailing performance. The foam core and carbon-fibre composite structure was engineered to maximize strength and minimise weight.
The powerful sail plan, combined with ample righting moment from the lifting keel, provides an exhilarating sailing experience.
One of the dominant features of this design is the all-glass canopy, which creates a wonderful light, airy feel to the saloon. A special heat-reflective foil embedded in the glass laminate reduces heat transfer into the interior. Large opening sections of the canopy roof provide excellent ventilation while the wide aft doors allow a seamless flow through to the cockpit.
This contemporary design features a modern, lightweight Design Unlimited interior with extensive use of sound-deadening materials.
Project partners included Pure Composite Engineering, Vitters Shipyard, Green Marine UK, Southern Spars and A2B Maritime project management.
