DESCRIPTION
MMYD is delighted to announce its commission for the exterior design of an 83-metre Feadship, currently under construction at the Royal Van Lent shipyard.
Known as Project SOLENT, the yacht is being built for experienced clients, combining timeless elegance with innovative features and bespoke luxury. True to Feadship tradition, the yacht will embody the very highest levels of craftsmanship and refinement.
This remarkable collaboration brings together a world-class, award winning team. MMYD for the exterior design, Mark Whiteley Design studio for the interior, with Occam Marine overseeing the build and Cecil Wright & Partners acting on behalf of the owners.
“Project Solent embodies MMYD’s commitment to timeless design. Her exterior profile is defined by clean, enduring lines, reflecting our belief that true elegance lies in restraint and proportion. This yacht captures the essence of the owner’s vision, distilled into a concept that resonates with MMYD’s design DNA, performance, innovation, and a conection with the sea. We are proud to see our vision take shape in Project Solent and to contribute to the creation of a yacht that will stand as a benchmark for years to come.” – Malcolm McKeon, MMYD
"It’s a privilege to be guiding this exceptional project from inception through to delivery. This will be a yacht of remarkable pedigree, designed by two of the industry's most visionary talents and built by the masters at Royal Van Lent." - Chris Cecil-Wright, Founder of Cecil Wright & Partners
Project Solent is scheduled for delivery in Summer 2027.
